GUEST POET
Peter Le Baige
grew up on the east side of Te Wai o Taiki (the Tamaki Estuary), and now lives on the west side; sometimes he imagines he can see his earlier self across the water.
He tends to write about places and people in his life that have affected him. Having spent 25 years out of New Zealand the places and people he came across in those years also figure in his writing.
He has self-published three books of poetry, Breakers (1979), Street hung with daylit moon (1983) and 'Blackbird in paradise' launched in March 2024.
He used to regard his two cats as his left and right hands, and the estuary as his heart; since one of his cats died, however, he regards himself now as just left-handed.
GUEST MUSICIAN
Seriously Whatever
the recently formed West Auckland duo Gerhard Lottermoser and Christian Jensen brings you a taste of spontaneous yet lovingly crafted wordcore. This is serious stuff for fun, sharing important topics by silly men.
Part of what inspires Seriously Whatever is the Anti-perfectionist Manifesto:
She'll be Right, Left, Whatever
Whatever you want is whatever you need
whatever creed
to hell with
sheets of silk and satin
saddening
the sight of perfection
courageous
the sight beyond caring
left for dead and that's ok
a skeleton dance on graves
in the borderlands of
Questions
whatever
is death to perfection
birth of whatever
seriously
