Maxie Rodil
No stranger to Poetry Live! the fabulous Maxie Rodil (he/they) is a queer Filipino spoken word poet and artist based in Auckland. They have been regularly performing spoken word and slam poems since 2022, representing Auckland in the 2023 National Poetry Slam. He is one of the founders of the “Oh No! Poetry Collective” a poetry group hosting poetry events in Auckland, including a monthly open mic night. They love bright and shiny things, late night showers, and attending every single event their social battery will allow them to. We amped for the fact there’s enough charge in that battery to give us some Maxie magic to light up our new home at Cafe 39.
